Softball

Yesterday my sister, Brittany, had her first softball game. This is the first year for softball. Quivira Heights is in the same school district with Wilson and they combined for a team. My dad is the coach. He has to drive the QH girls to practice in Wilson everyday. He ended up having more girls than they thought from QH so he had to get his CDL to drive the bus to take them there. It was kind of weird seeing the QH girls in purple. For softball they are the Wilson Dragons. I took off work to go to the game. It was a little cool for the first game and then it started raining during the second. The first game Wilson started out good but then fell behind by letting Russell get 5 runs in the 6th inning. They were up 5-1 in the first inning. It was starting to rain and I needed to get home because Scott's dad was at our house so I didn't see how that one ended. My sister played pretty good. You can just tell that it's been a few years since she has played. For the first game of the year they did alright. I look forward to watching another game. Hopefully the weather will be warmer!

Brittany played 3rd base.

Cheyenne was sitting in the car with my grandparents and mom.

Old Video

I meant to post this a long time ago but didn't get around to it. I was cleaning up my memory card and found it.

When my brother was home he brought Cheyenne a Valentine's present. Here is a video of her "dancing" with it.

Still here

I haven't posted much lately because I have been busy. Work has been kind of crazy with tanning and me teaching crafts and aerobics. I am also Corporate Sponsor Chairperson for Relay for Life of Rice County and I've been trying to get letters out to all the businesses in Rice County. I try to get things done at home before I come into work and I have been so tired when I finally get Cheyenne to bed (after 11 most nights) that I hit the sack too. Yesterday we started a new project at home. We tore down the walls in the basement bathroom and bought wood flooring to put in the bathroom and bedroom. Scott is at home painting as I write this. It will be a little while before we get the material for the walls in the bathroom but he is going to try to get the bedroom done. He goes back to work tomorrow so what doesn't get done today will have to wait until next week when he is off. We moved all of the things from the bedroom into the living room in the basement which makes it difficult to get to the computer. Be patient with me...I'm still here. I will post pictures of the basement when I get a chance.

Work

I was meaning to post this earlier this week but the batteries were dead in the camera and the charger wouldn't work so I didn't get the picture off of there until today. Last Friday I worked the early shift (5:30 am - 1 pm) at work since Staci was gone. When Scott got off of work that morning he came up to the rec to see Cheyenne. She was still sleeping but he waited around until I woke her up. He had a rough night at work and needed a hug from her. Here is the picture from that morning. She really didn't want to wake up!

We also have a new toy at work that Cheyenne really enjoys. Staci brought in a booster seat that has a little play thing on it. It makes all sorts of noise and counts and does the alphabet. It is nice to have the booster to sit Cheyenne in to eat instead of the stroller. It works lots better with finger food and she is more at my level. It entertained her for a long time today!

If I have her too close to the desk she pulls everything off!

Aerobics

Last Tuesday I taught my first aerobics class. I made up my own routine of dance/kickboxing moves. It went ok. I need to work on the routine a little bit. I was going to teach again last night but no one showed up. On Thursday I taught a step routine that a friend had designed when she first started teaching step. It went pretty well. I felt more comfortable with it than my routine. I worked 5:30-1 Friday morning for Staci and taught the step class that she usually does. They seemed to be ok with it. I need to practice more at home but I just haven't had time. Hopefully I have people show up to my class on Thursday and I wasn't that bad of an instructor.

Visit home

My brother came home for 5 days this week. He came home Saturday and not too long after he got to mom and dad's he called and asked if he could come in and see Cheyenne. He is her Godfather and she is very special to him. He spent as much timew with her while he was home as he could. He even babysat her on Tuesday! He lives in Kansas City and tries to get home when he can but doesn't make it very often. We enjoy the time he does get back this way. I wish we could make it up there more often but it seems like we have so much going on. We plan on making the trip before too long though. Since he was home and there wasn't a lot going on we had some family pictures taken with my family and grandparents. I'm looking forward to seeing how they turned out. We haven't had them taken for a few years and wanted pictures whilel my grandparents are still with us. While Matthew was home he also played volleyball with Scott and I and a friend from High School in the coed league in Lyons. He did good! He was a little sore the next day though! We wish we all lived closer together so we could do it more often. We don't complain about the 4 hours that we are apart. At least we can drive it in a day. We are glad that we got to spend some time with him and look forward to the next time we get together. Here are some pictures from his visit. He loves playing with Cheyenne! She loves him too!
This was Saturday when he got here.

Sharing 7up!

Playing!

Hanging out after a day together! Matthew went back to KC the next day.

One More Month

Today Cheyenne is 11 months old. Where has the time gone? I can't believe that it's only a month until she is a year old. It made me sad today thinking about it. There's only a month left in the "infant" stage. The way she is getting around these days it won't be long until she is walking all over the place. It seems like yesterday when I could just hold her in my arms and she didn't hardly move. Know it is hard to get her to sit still! I've enjoyed watching her grow and learn new things. I look forward to all the new things to come also! Here are a few recent pictures that I didn't get into a post.

Scott left a sleeve of chocolate chip cookies out on the living room floor and Cheyenne found them the next morning. She ended up eating a cookie!

This is her face after eating the cookie! Looks like she enjoyed it!

My mom and sister watched her one night and took this picture after giving her a bath.

I had to attend a meeting in Newton on Wednesday and while I was gone Cheyenne decided to start climbing up on her chair. Scott captured these pictures!

We have a little climber on our hand! I think she fell off twice but she keeps doing it so I guess it didn't hurt too bad!

Yesterday she started climbing from this chair to the little blue chair beside it!

Here is just a picture of my little girl and her cheesy smile! She looks a little ornery! Which she is sometimes!
