Cheryl Standing

Cheryl crawls to everything and then stands up. A lot of times she stands there and then can't figure out how to go anywhere else so she gets mad. It won't be too long and she will just let go and walk. My little baby is growing up too fast. I'm not ready for this stage. Cheyenne didn't walk until she was 13 months old! She didn't even crawl until she was 10 months old! Cheryl is way ahead of her! Of course, having a 2 year old sister with toys to get into probably helps Cheryl out a little bit!

Dancing

Cheyenne likes to dance. I got a little video of her dancing with her "little" radio. She didn't dance very long because she wanted to see the video!

I caught her with her back to me for this one!

Visit from Aunt Carole

Aunt Carole came to visit for 2 weeks. We didn't get to see her a whole lot while she was here because we were all busy but we did get to spend some time with her last Monday. Scott and the girls and I went out to grandma and grandpa's to visit with them and so Scott could see Aunt Carole for a little while. He has been working so much that he hadn't seen her yet and she was going to leave on Thursday. After Scott left the girls and I ate supper with them and stayed and visited for awhile. We enjoyed getting to sit down and relax and visit.

We always enjoy Aunt Carole's visit's and hope to go visit her in Las Vegas one of these days.

Celebrating 4 Years of Marriage

Today is Scott and I's 4th wedding anniversary. Yesterday afternoon I took the girls out to my mom's and Scott and I headed to Wichita. We ate at Red Lobster and then went to the mall to find Cheyenne some clothes (and walk off our dinner). We found Cheyenne some jeans and Scott some pants. We stopped at Sam's to get diapers and other supplies that needed replenished. We decided we needed a new double stroller too . We went to Baby Depot to see what they had. They had one that was like what we wanted. We wanted a joggine stroller that moved easier and folded up smaller to fit better in the Tahoe. This is the one we purchased. I'll post pictures of the girls in it later!

After Baby Depot we stopped at Walmart for just a couple things and then headed home. It was already almost 9:00!

We had a good time going out by ourselves. The only problem was Scott started feeling sick when we were in Walmart. He didn't feel well all the way home. We made it home but he ran in the house and to the bathroom, where he spend most of the night. He was still feeling bad when I left for work this morning. I guess we passed it around to each other again. This is no fun. I hope he feels better today. We'd like to enjoy his company a little bit today before he has to go back to work for another 7 nights tonight.

From a Bad Start to an Even Worse Ending

So I thought yesterday morning was bad but yesterday evening was even worse. I was scheduled to officiate JV volleyball for Lyons High School at 5 pm. At around 3 pm I started feeling a little sick. I laid down for a little while and felt better. I knew I couldn't call and have them find a sub in 2 hours, well actually an hour and a half. I still felt a little queasy but I went and hoped I'd be ok. Before the first game started I was running to the bathroom throwing up. After that I felt better. I made it through the first game. I was the official on the floor so I didn't have to do a whole lot. For the next match I was to be up on the stand. I thought I felt well enough to do it. The first match was a close one and took awhile. Towards the end of it, I started feeling light headed. I got off the stand and headed to the bathroom. Nothing came out. I went back in, they were of course waiting on me. We decided it was best for me to stay on the floor. I felt better down there. There was a fan that was blowing on me so that helped. It was a little warm up on the stand. The AD got me a Sierra Mist and I drank that throughout the game. They told me I could go home and I said I would if I got sick again. I made it through all 3 games. I had called Scott after the first game and asked him to give the girls baths so I could go home and go to bed. He gave them baths and they were both in bed when I got home. I went straight to bed. It was 8:45. My body ached and I had a headache all through the night. I feel better this morning. Still weak and achy but better. Scott and I are supposed to go out this afternoon for our anniversary. I hope I continue to feel better.

Good Start, Then Bad Start

Cheryl slept through the night last night, 9:30-4:00! I heard her about 1:00 but she went back to sleep without me having to get up with her. I fed her at 4 and she went back to sleep so I left her in the chair and I got in the shower. I got ready for work and when I went to get Cheyenne out of bed I realized she had wet the bed! I changed her clothes and stripped her bed. Then I loaded her and the bags in the Tahoe and went back in to get Cheryl. When I picked Cheryl up I noticed the blanket and her pj's were wet! I smelled them and it smelled like throw-up rather than pee. At this point it was 5:20 and I needed to get to work to open up. So I put Cheryl in the Tahoe and went up to the LRC to unlock. I took Cheyenne in with me incase she had to go to the bathroom, which she did. Then we got back in the Tahoe to go home. I changed Cheryl just in time for her to fill her pants! I changed her again and changed Cheyenne and cleaned up the chair and started Cheyenne's bedding in the wash. Then Scott got home and took Cheyenne to eat breakfast with him. I thought it was going to be a good day since Cheryl slept through the night but I guess everything can go perfect! They are both sleeping in the office right now so hopefully they get some sleep and the rest of the day goes better!

Staci turns 17

Staci turned 17 yesterday! Wow, my baby sister is 17. I can't believe it! She got out of school early for inservice and she didn't have practice so we all went out to eat at Applebee's for her birthday.

Staci with her birthday sundae at Applebee's. She was glad they don't sing Happy Birthday anymore!

Happy Birthday little sis!

New Wheels

Saturday morning Scott went to McPherson to look at a Tahoe and ended up bringing it home! We treaded in the truck. We miss the truck but realize we needed a family vehicle. We like the extra room. There isn't a lot of room for cargo in the back but the 3rd row can lay down. It's a family vehicle but still sporty enough for Scott and I! It has 20 inch wheels and still sits kind of high like our truck did.

Notice the 3rd row! It seats 7! That's what I wanted!

And it's leather with a DVD player! It entertained Cheyenne all the way to McPherson the other day. The only thing is that you have to use headphones. You can't listen to it without them. But they are wireless so no cords all over the place.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Yesterday was Grandpa's 91st Birthday! We've been truly blessed to have him in our lives this long. We pray that the Lord continues to bless his life here on earth. It's fun to see the girls with him and remember all the good times with him when we were their age.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

3 Peat Ellsworth Tourney Champs

QH won the Ellsworth volleyball tournament for the 3rd year in a row today. I didn't make it for the first game but watched the others. They came away undefeated. They played really well.
Staci Serving - she served like 10 in a row the first match and 13 in a row the second match vs. Lakin.

Blowing the Whistle

Last night I officiated my first volleyball games in 5 years! It was a freshman triangular in Lyons. I was a little nervous but once I got into it, it came back to me. I was worried about the Lebero but none of the teams had one so I didn't have to worry about it. I'm sure I missed a few calls but I thought it went well. I am scheduled to do 2 more games for Lyons this year. Maybe I'll get into it more next year. It's kind of hard with the girls and Scott working nights. I had to hire a babysitter last night. Hopefully Scott will be on a week on, week off schedule next year and I can officiate on his weeks off. It's fun and it's good money!

First Bike Ride

Cheryl can finally ride in the bike stroller with Cheyenne. We probably could have tried it several months ago when she could sit up but we figured Cheyenne would just pick on her. They both enjoy riding in it! And I get more exercise!

Kansas State Fair

Monday we decided to go to the fair. The temperature was only 57 degrees so we bundled up! We walked around and looked at different buildings. We always like to look at the Morton Building stuff to see if anything is new. We looked at lots of motorcycles too!

Cheyenne liked the four wheeler!

Then we checked out all the animals. Cheyenne didn't want to feed the animals in the petting zoo.
When we told her we were going to the fair and would see animals she said, "See Giraffe?". I said "No, I don't think we'll see a giraffe". Well, there was a giraffe!

The baby goats were so cute!

Cheryl didn't get into the animals much. She just kept looking around.
We were lucky and went on a day where it was $1 to get in and $1 rides. We bought some ride tickets and all enjoyed a few rides.

When the carousal was going Cheryl just laughed! This was the only ride she got to go on.
Cheyenne and I rode on the caterpillar roller coaster. It's kind of fun to ride the kiddie rides again!

Cheryl enjoyed the whole afternoon!

Cheryl Crawling

Cheryl starting crawling a couple weeks ago. We could only get her to really crawl to either mine or Brittany's cell phone at the time. Now she crawls everywhere! She's starting to pull herself up too. She may not be crawling long! Time to get the gate out and make sure everything is baby proof again!
