Sick

It's going around. Last night when I left work I was feeling a little queezy. Sure enough I threw up about 5 times last night. Now this morning I have diarrhea, a headache, sore throat and my stomach still hurts (but I'm not throwing up). Scott woke up with diarrhea too. I don't know what this bug is but it sucks! I hope we all get over it soon. (Sorry if that was to much information) They say it's going around. Hope no one else gets it.

3 Years of Marriage

Today Scott and I have been married 3 years. I was laying in bed this morning and thought about what I was doing 3 years ago. I heard Cheyenne in her bed and then all of a sudden she was coughing and choking. She threw up! That was at 4:00 this morning. Between then and 1:00 this afternoon she threw up 15 times. Needless to say it was a long morning. I called in and told work that I wouldn't be coming in. Scott had to go back into work at 10 this morning. We called the Dr. office and Cheyenne's usual Dr. wasn't in today but we could see one of the other ones. He has seen her before so it was no big deal. We couldn't get her in until 2:45 and of course she was feeling better by then. Dr. Simpson said it was going around. We just needed to make sure she stay hydrated. When we got home and she was ready to play. So far she hasn't thrown up anymore but did have diarrhea, which he said to expect. Hopefully the rest of the evening and night go ok. I just felt so bad for her because she didn't know what to do.
About noon the doorbell rang. This is what was being delivered from Scott and Cheyenne. I love yellow roses!

So much has happened in our first three years of marriage. We've grown so much as a couple and as a family. I know today wasn't what I expected but I am thankful that I have a husband and daughter to take care of.

Apology

Sorry I haven't posted for awhile. I was busy last week (which I went back to those dates and posted about) and was in Kansas City most of this last week. I went back to the actual days that things happened to post about them because I'm sure I'll have more things to post about this week. Enjoy!

Family Wedding

Sheena and Paul O'Brien were united in marriage today. Sheena has been like a cousin to us. She and her brother and sister shared their granparents with us. Her grandfather was like a dad to my dad when he was growing up. We have always called them grandma and grandpa. Unfortunately we lossed grandpa 2 years ago. They live in Yates Center and we don't get to see them real often but enjoy the times when we do. This special occasion was a nice to to get together. We had lots of other things going on this weekend (Brittany and Staci didn't even get to go because they had volleyball) and were unable to spend the weekend but did get to see everyone for awhile on Saturday. Mom and I helped serve the cake and punch. It was a small but nice wedding.

Happy 18th Birthday!

Today Brittany turned 18! Unbelievable. She's grown up so fast. I remember when she was just a little girl and I was babysitting her and my other siblings. Now she is babysitting for me! Graduation wasn't too tough when my brother graduated but when she does I think it will be a little more emotional. We've become best friends not just sister. Happy Birthday Brittany!

Sweet 16!

My youngest sister turned 16 today! I can't believe that she is that old. I love that we've gotten to stay close over the years even though there are 9 years age difference between us. Happy Birthday Staci!

Unfortunately I didn't see her on her birthday so here's a picture from May.

State Fair

We decided to take Cheyenne to the fair this morning. We didn't stay long. We were only there a couple hours. We looked at farm equipment and vehicles and then took Cheyenne to see the animals.

90!

On the 13th my grandpa turned 90 years old! Today we had a party for him. My aunt and cousin came from Las Vegas to help celebrate. Lots of other family and friends gathered in Ellworth to wish grandpa a happy birthday also. He really enjoyed the day! Afterall, it's not everyday that you can share 90 years worth of stories with those closest to you!

The cake that our cousin made. If you can't really tell what's on it, it's wheat, a bond with a fishing pole and a fish, and a field with a tractor and plow. All of these show the things that my grandpa loved.

My cousin Mark came from Vegas and played music and sang and entertained us. He did a great job! My brother joined him for one song!

Babysitting

I've been doing a lot of babysitting lately. I babysit at the rec Mondy, Wednesday and Friday mornings when I can. Our usual babysitter got hurt and is unable to for awhile. Cheyenne enjoys playing with the kids. One day there were 8 kids in there! We have fun! I have also been watching Jonathan when Adria needs me. Cheyenne is such a big help with him. I think she is going to be a big help when her little brother or sister comes!

Cheyenne likes to tickle Jonathan's feet!

Cheyenne and Jonathan!

Cheyenne was playing with her babies while Jonathan was sleeping. She's really become a little Mommy, taking care of her babies!

I enjoy watching all the kids. Having Jonathan at my house is giving me a feel for what it will be like with 2 kids! I think we'll be just fine!

Made my Day

Cheyenne made my day when she woke up this morning. I woke up to her saying "Momma......Momma". She hardly every says Momma. She says Dadda a lot but not Momma. I woke up with a smile on my face. She made my day!

Momma's beautiful (ornery) little girl!

New Things

Sunday Cheyenne did a couple new things that surprised me. She climbed into her high chair to tell me she was hungary. I got her something to eat and then I went in the other room for a minute and here she came. She climbed down too! The real shock came at bath time. I was just going to put her in the shower with me. I got her undressed and turned the water on and as I was getting dressed she started climbing in the tub! She was almost in, just had her leg stuck behind her. I helped her in and we took our shower. When we were finished I got out and let her play in there while I dried off and got dresses. I went into the bedroom to get my pj's and I turned around and there she was! She climbed out of the bath tub too! I guess I'm going to have to keep an eye on her. Who knows what she'll be able to climb in and out of!

Volleyball has Started!

Yesterday my sisters had their first volleyball tournament in Ellsworth. QH took first again! I enjoyed watching them but it's alittle more difficult with a 1 year old! We were up and down for a lot of the games! Needless to say I didn't get too many pictures during the games this time.

Videos

I took quite a few videos while we were at the lake. Just thought I'd share a few of them. Don't feel like you have to watch them all.

This is Cheyenne the first time she went out into the lake. She liked the waves hitting her!

Monday Goodbyes

Monday when everyone got up and around we all headed back to our homes. We had a wonderful weekend and hated to leave. We look forward to the next time we can all get together.

Sunday on the Water

Sunday I woke up and still no water! This pregnant lady had to go! I was going to go outside but was scared that some early fisherman might drive by. Scott, Cheyenne and I headed into Trenton to use the restroom and get some milk at the convenience store. Shortly after we got back Janelle got up and we had water! It could have been a long morning! Cheyenne was ready to go to the water right after she got up!

Janelle and I watched Little Raf so Martina and Rafael could get some sleep. We enjoyed him! So did Cheyenne! She wanted to hold him but then wasn't too sure about it!
Cheyenne loved the water! She liked that the life jacket kept her up and she could float on it! She liked to stick her face in the water, maybe drink some and choke and then laugh about it! I couldn't get her to stop!
Cheyenne and I finally got to ride on the boat. Cheyenne went tubing with Daddy! She just sat there and looked around. One of these days we'll never be able to get her off the tube!

It was Raf's turn on the tube!

And now Martina's!
Cheyenne fell asleep after tubing! She slept for quite awhile on the boat. I think I could have too! The wind blowing off the water is relaxing.

After all afternoon on the water we headed back to the house for showers and supper. We all just hung out the rest of the night hanging out and visiting. Little Raf and Cheyenne crashed early but we stayed up for awhile catching up. We didn't stay up too late though. Everyone was worn out from tubing and being in the sun all day. Scott, Janelle and Kelly were sunburned so that made it worse. We had a fun day out on the lake.

Saturday at the Lake

I got to the lake Friday night about 11:15 and Cheyenne and Scott were happy to see me! We got up Saturday morning and got a phone call from Lana saying she had a head cold and wasn't going to come until Sunday. We knew Martina, Raf, Little Raf, Janelle and Kelly wouldn't be there until 5 or 6 so we headed down to the lake. As soon as Cheyenne saw the water she got excited!

"Wait for me Daddy and Pa!"

Going into the lake for the first time.

She LOVED the water!

It was kind of windy and the waves were coming up to the shore and Cheyenne loved it when they hit her!

She liked to through rocks into the water too!

Cheyenne and Mommy's feet in the sand.

About 1:00 we went back to the house and ate lunch. Then we went back outside and Cheyenne played in the little park.

All that swimming and playing wore us out! Cheyenne and I took a nap Saturday afternoon.

While we were sleeping Martina called and said they were running way late and wouldn't be here until about 9:00. We decided to head back down to the lake. It was a lot cooler this evening. Cheyenne didn't really want to get in the water too far this time.

After awhile in the water we headed back for showers and some supper. Then we sat outside and visited. It was a beautiful evening.

Cheyenne talking to Pa.

Martina, Raf, Little Raf, Janelle and Kelly got there about 9:15. It was so good to see them and finally get to hold little Raf. He is such a cutie! Cheyenne liked "Baby".

Scott holding Little Raf and Cheyenne.

Before we headed to bed around 1 am, we realized we didn't have any water! I had just gone to the bathroom, thank goodness. The entire North Shore park didn't have water! We'll see if I can make it through the night!
